Pakjesavond! - Literally - packets evening. The night before Sinterklaas's birthday, as he's about to return to Spain; he and the Pieten visit the houses of every child (and their parents) and delivers sacks of presents. With little poems attached, pointing out some foibles perhaps. The kids, of course, go wild!
