Landelijk intocht

The national arrival of Sinterklaas in 2004 was in Alkmaar, literally around the corner from our house. Pakjesboot 12, carrying Sint and his Pieten, arrived broadcast live to the country.
Of course it was absolutely packed. Ayla sat on Oma's shoulders and Willow sat on mine. Which meant we couldn't see the stoomboot properly, or get a decent photo.
But somewhere on that boat, is Sinterklaas!
