Sinterklaas arrives in the country

This year, we didn't get to go see the Sint arrive in Alkmaar, but had to settle for watching it on TV. Willow was in a right mess, RIver had a high fever and Esther was so sick she had to stay in bed all day. I ran around passing buckets and cleaning up vomit. Charming!
Ayla had been sick and was recovering, but she was the only one of the girls who might have been well enough - and was the only one well enough to put out her shoe and sing for Sint & Piet. Luckily, she put shoes out for her sisters too and there were presents for all three in the morning.
